It operates a licensed national 4G and 5G network and sells fixed-wireless home internet, mobile and portable connectivity products, online at rain.co.za and at rain stores. rain launched Africa's first commercial 5G network and Africa's first commercial standalone 5G network. Unlimited mobile stays connected countrywide on that national network. Unlimited 5G home wifi is product availability at an address — customers should check availability at their address before buying home wifi. Under the current product range, customers own a LoopPhone only when selecting the once-off purchase option (price in the plans table). Return processes and charges are in rain's legal terms. ### City, province and countrywide (mobile) - Customers choose where their unlimited data applies at purchase: their city and surrounding areas, anywhere within their chosen province, or countrywide (all of South Africa). - One national network: every plan runs on rain's national 4G and 5G mobile network, and the phone stays connected across South Africa whichever plan is chosen. - Calls and SMS are unlimited across South Africa on every plan. - City and Province plans include 2 GB per billing cycle for use everywhere else in South Africa (shown as out-of-zone data in the app and on bills). The LoopPhone switches between the two automatically (smartswitching™). - When the 2 GB is used up, data outside the chosen city or province stops until the customer buys top-up gigs at R20 per GB; calls and SMS continue. - Countrywide plans have no separate everywhere-else allowance, because unlimited data applies across the whole country. - Extend your zone: City and Province customers can buy unlimited countrywide data for 7 consecutive days at R125 per week, without changing their plan. - International roaming is a separate paid add-on, never included in any plan; refer to rain support. - These choices apply to Unlimited Mobile and rainOne Unlimited only. the loop uses a different system, loopzones: see the loop below. ### Unlimited - Home wifi: no data cap on any tier; tiers differ by speed.
